The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in 2008 to run the four year undergraduate  programme in Electronics & Communication Engineering discipline. The curriculum of these courses is meticulously designed by the members of board of studies, JNTU, Kakinada. The syllabus for the said courses is being constantly modified to update the latest developments in the market fields. Upto 2009  the annual student intake at UG level of the ECE department was only 60; in 2010 the intake was enhanced to 120.
