1. Information We Collect & Why

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)
  Used to capture images for in‑app features such as ID verification, attendance, or attaching photos to forms. Photos are created by you and are only uploaded when you confirm an action that sends them.
• Photos/Media/Files & Storage (READ/WRITE on older Android versions)
  Used to read/write images produced by the camera or files you choose to attach. On Android 10+ the App uses scoped storage. We do not access other personal files without your action.
• Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION)
  Used for features that require location (e.g., geo‑tagged attendance or routing). Location is collected only while using such features and is not used for background tracking unless the feature explicitly requires it.
• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
  Used only when you start a feature that needs audio (e.g., voice notes or video capture).
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) & Foreground Service
  We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications. The device receives a unique token to send messages; this token may be stored on our servers to address notifications to your device.
• Network Access (INTERNET)
  Required to connect to our servers and third‑party services strictly for App functionality.

2. How We Use Data

• To provide core App features such as attendance, messaging, attachments, and faculty workflows.
• To send important notifications (e.g., alerts, updates).
• To troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and enhance user experience.

3. Third‑Party Services

We may use trusted third‑party services to operate certain features, including:

• Firebase (e.g., Firebase Cloud Messaging) for push notifications and related analytics.
• Google Play Services for core Android compatibility.

These providers process limited data necessary to deliver the service and handle it under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as required to provide App services, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Images and files you submit are stored according to institutional policies and may be deleted on request where applicable.

5. Your Choices & Controls

• You can grant or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
• You may disable notifications in system settings; some App functionality may be limited as a result.
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by faculty and authorized staff. It is not directed to children under 13.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize risk through access control, encryption in transit, and least‑privilege practices.

8. International Transfers

If you use the App outside India, your information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different data‑protection laws. We take steps to ensure appropriate protection consistent with this Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Policy.
