Activities

 
        Department of Civil Engineering conducted various activities like seminars, workshops, Club activities Survey Camps, Trafic Analysis and cultural events, Industrial Visits, Industrial projects etc. For encouraging para technical activities, a departmental students association SPAARC Student Club has been established. Various Extra and Cocurricular activities are conducted under above banners to enlarge the horizons of the students beyond the scope of the curriculum.

01-10-2019 Industrial Long Tour to Visakhapatnam Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is the integrated steel plants of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited in Visakhapatnam. Founded in 1971, the plant focuses on producing value-added steel, producing 5.773 million tonnes of hot metal, 5.272 million tonnes of crude steel and 5.138 million tonnes of saleable steel in the 2021-2022 financial year.[1] According to the India Daily Times, the plant is expected to skyrocket in terms of production in the nearest future. 65

25/02/2020 Visit to Polavaram Project The Polavaram Project is an under construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the Eluru District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. The project has been accorded National project status by the Central Government of India.[3][4][5] Its reservoir back water spreads[6] up to the Dummugudem Anicut (i.e. approx 150 km back from Polavaram dam on main river side) and approx 115 km on Sabari River side. Thus back water spreads into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha States.[7][8] It gives major boost to tourism sector in Godavari Districts as the reservoir covers the famous Papikonda National Park, Polavaram hydro electric project (HEP) and National Waterway 4 are under construction on left side of the river. It is located 40 km to the upstream of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage in Rajamahendravaram City and 25 km from Rajahmundry Airport. 65
